Excuses Excuses and More Excuses

I think I owe everyone an explanation, I have stop blogging after hardly finding time to sit down to update it due to other side projects that I have been involve in and also the travel volume lately. Completely my fault. I believe the blog is due for a refurbishment after yet months of neglect. I have a few back posts kept in my personal e-mail at the moment which I hope to clear the back log.

Stay tune for the next wave of posts and updates.

A $50.00 Phone Call

Today I made a phone call to my hosting company explaining that I will not renew my hosting account unless I get the same introductory offer I obtained when I first signed up and guess what? I did not receive the exact offer but they still gave me a 30% discount based on the current runnin which was a whopping savings of over $50.00. Not bad for a 5 minute effort over the phone.

I did this before on my credit card annual fees and it always work like a charm.

Last Day Of The European Getaway!

Today is officially the last day of my nearly two weeks getaway. This journey have brought me from Dresden, Germany and ending up in London. I will be updating my blog in the next few days once I have settled back in Hamburg. I am currently blogging courtesy of the Apple Store in Regent Street, London on a Mac Book air.

London will always hold a special place in my heart as I have quite a few exciting moments here during the days when I first arrived s a student to the time I spent working out of Southampton.

The weather doesn't look promising at the moment which is something you can always count on in London. ; )

Well, I have a few more hours to kill before making my way to stansted to catch the last flight back to Hamburg.

Take care and wait up for my back log of posts which will include The Church Of Bones in Kutna Hora, Czech Republic; Lucerne and Mount Rigi, Switzerland and Meissen, Germany.

Well, that's all folks for the moment and don't let me deprive other people from using this free internet access.

Vaduz Liechtenstein

Who knew that I will be in Vaduz, Liechtenstein which is the capital of one of the smallest countries in the world. This happens to be one of the stops along the way on my European getaway.
So, what does this tiny capital have to offer you may ask?

The capital is located next to a hill and overlooking the city from the cliffs is the iconic castle.
The main city consists of a short stretch of Pedestrian Street with shops, galleries and museum. They all accept Euros and Swiss currency. Do watch out for the postal museum which is free to enter.

Due to the recent borderless rules, it is hardly ever possible to get your passport stamped when crossing between European countries. However, for a small fee, you can get your own Liechtenstein stamp which I did.

Here are some pictures from this tiny city:

The Vaduz Castle On The Hill

The Town Hall (Rathaus)

Government Building

St Florin Cathedral

As a summary, this is a good place for a pit stop while you are travelling around one of the bordering countries. I donĂ¢€™t think there is a need to spend a night here unless there is something that you are particularly interested in.

That's all for now!

Kutna Hora Czech Republic

Ventured from the central station by train to Kutna Hora, a unesco heritage
site for many reasons. For starters, it is home to the world famous Church of Bones and the old city is a hidden gem in Czech Republic.

From the main station in Prague, a train runs every two hours and is about an hours ride. Once at Kutna
Hora station, you may take the tram or the bus to the Church of Bones. It is
only a stop away by tram and a few by bus.

Church Of Bones Candle Holder

A Coat Of Arms

Both the trams and bus can take you the city central.

Other famous sites within the city central is the Barbara's Cathedral, Cathedral Of Our Lady and the
Italian Court.

St Barbara Cathedral

Cathedral of Our Lady

It is recommended to take a half day trip here if you have some spare time
during your visit to Prague. I promise that the church of bones will make all your trips worthwhile.

Tip: Make sure you check the train and bus schedules. As they do not run
hourly and you may end up spending more time than needed waiting for them.
